Over 2024–2026, students from Qaraqalpaqstan participated in an environmental awareness program organized in cooperation with the World Aral Region Charity Fund, “Ekolog” public association, and the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan. As residents of the Aral region — living on the edge of desertification — the students wrote essays and stories based on their personal experiences with climate change. These essays, now published in our booklet "Voices of the Aral Region" are a raw expression of young people's worries, aspirations and everyday life.
